Ocean Link : precision CAN instrumentation for leisure boats

To support engine monitoring on modern sports and leisure boats, we have added a modular instrumentation concept to the VDO Ocean Line: the VDO Ocean Link series.

The central instrument in this series is a multifunctional tachometer with direct access to the CAN bus used by engine management. This instrument presents all key data on a generously-sized digital display and forwards it to up to 20 additional display instruments. In addition to a CAN interface with SAE J1939 data protocol, it features two inputs for analogue sensors. The innovative serial connection for other display instruments renders complicated cabling unnecessary.

Up to 20 additional display instruments can be connected to the central instrument. Installation follows the practical plug & play principle, making further system expansion particularly convenient, with no need for complicated programming.
