VDO Ocean Line NMEA Interface

The VDO Ocean Line NMEA interface is required in order to pass data from Ocean Line navigation instruments to other navigation equipment such as autopilots, GPS systems or VDO plotters from the MAP 7 and MAP 11 families. The instruments connect directly to the NMEA interface, which then transmits NMEA 0183-compliant data sets to the other device. Used with a chart plotter, data from the Sumlog®, echo sounder, etc. can be displayed in a special window.
