Villingen-Schwenningen/Germany, 25 January 2011. VDO is running a sales promotion for genuine tachograph accessories once again this year. This means that VDO customers who purchase three packets of tachograph discs or three packets of printer paper also receive a handy LED head torch free of charge. The LED torch can, for example, be particularly useful in the driver's cab after dark. It has a very practical clip-on system which allows the torch to be attached to a baseball cap - leaving the wearer's hands-free to get on with the work at hand.

The company's tachograph documents are available at over 10,000 sales outlets worldwide. Customers can find their closest VDO partner on the Internet at www.dtco.vdo.de. This marketing campaign will run throughout 2011 as long as the supply lasts and is valid for the whole of Europe and the most important worldwide markets.

Since the introduction of the digital tachograph, VDO has also sold printer paper for digital tachographs in addition to the traditional tachograph discs. This paper, which was specially developed for use in vehicles, can be used in all common digital tachograph models. It is protected against extreme temperatures (- 20 ° to + 70°C) and features a special coating on the front which increases its resistance to environmental influences such as moisture, oil and grease.
