Remote Keyless Entry (RKE)

Today, remote keyless entry has become a standard feature for convenient locking and unlocking of a vehicle. By means of radio communication the system ensures that the vehicle doors and the trunk are locked and unlocked, and the theft protection system and immobilizer are activated and deactivated accordingly. Further functions such as comfort closing, e.g., opening and closing of windows, sunroof and power sliding doors or tailgates can also be integrated. Another convenience feature is the activation of a welcome light. And a contribution to greater safety is the panic button, which activates an audible and visible alarm in the vehicle.
