VDO Pedal Interface II
Tempostat function, speed limitation and engine regulation
VDO Pedal Interface II is a simple and inexpensive device for controlling engine output in conjunction with electronic engine management. The system helps meet the growing demands made on commercial vehicles against a backdrop of growing traffic volumes, offering safety and cost benefits as well as better protection for the environment. Pedal Interface II also complies with an EU Directive which came into force in January 2005 and requires all new trucks and buses above 3.5 tonnes to be fitted with speed-limitation devices. From January 2006 there is a general requirement to retrofit all vehicles over 3.5 tonnes with a suitable speed-limitation device, Europe-wide.
