VDO extends ContiSys product range

Market launch for ContiSys Data

Frankfurt/Germany, 14 September 2010. Innovative diagnostic solutions: at the Automechanika 2010 trade fair (14-19 September) Continental is presenting new product highlights belonging to the ContiSys family. Under the VDO umbrella, the automotive supplier will be exhibiting the new ContiSys Scan diagnostic unit and ContiSys Data, the new hotline and technical data service, alongside the familiar ContiSys OBD and ContiSys VCI systems.

ContiSys Scan is an easily operated diagnostic unit for reliable control unit diagnosis which is equipped with a comprehensive database. It features a large, easy-to-read display and is operated using two rocker switches. Upon purchase of the ContiSys Scan system, customers also receive free software updates for the first year.

With ContiSys Data, the company is offering a service which is targeted not just at users of the ContiSys diagnostic units but at all interested motor vehicle garages. The ContiSys Data Hotline, ContiSys Data Web and ContiSys Data CD-ROM services provide the technical and repair information required to repair vehicles and can be purchased easily on the Internet as required. The services can be purchased individually or combined in a package.

For Continental, diagnosis plays a crucial and strategic role. Accordingly, the company recently took over the sales activities of Autodiagnos in Germany and Austria to expand its existing portfolio. For customers, this step will provide access to an even more forward-looking range of products in the areas of vehicle diagnosis, service tools and exhaust analysis technology.
